Shopping spree!

It was the first day of the winter sales yesterday and as always, I snagged a few great items at amazingly low prices!

I got these two striped t shirts for just €5! I'm sure they'll look good layered under my coloured cardigans and jackets. And stripes are classic right?

Okay so I don't need three striped tops. But I couldn't resist this lace one! It has shiny gold stripes and these fab military-ish buttons on the shoulders.

Blogger refused to load a full picture of this sweater but it's pretty basic anyway - a navy, cotton and wool blend. The detail that made me try it on is this ruching on the shoulders - I've never seen it before and I really liked it!

This half sleeve sweater called out to me the moment I stepped into the store. Emerald with velvet polka dots? Yes please! 

I also made an online purchase - this forest green chunky sweater. I usually don't order a lot of stuff online, but the store has free shipping and returns so I decided to take a chance. Fingers crossed that it fits!

I've been a bit bored with my closet lately, so I'm hoping these new additions will refresh my wardrobe and motivate me to blog regularly again. I'm still looking for a dark wash pair of jeans and maybe some boots, so I'll probably be doing another round of all the stores soon. Whee!

By the way, did you guys make any resolutions? I'm trying hard to get healthier, cut down on my spending and hone my cooking/baking skills. I hope I can fulfill them all!

Trying new things

With this outfit, I'm trying two things that I never thought I would - a clutch and a high low sweater! The clutch is a gift from my friends in India and I bought the sweater on sale in July and got around to wearing it only recently. I love both. :)

Speaking of trying new things, I've been cooking a lot lately and while not all of my culinary experiments have been 100% successful, I made pizza quesedillas, beef chili and baguette pizzas that all came out beautifully! Woo! Life's taking some new twists and turns as well - as of today, I'm writing a daily article for a popular Indian blog and from Wednesday onwards, I'm going to tutor one of my husband's colleagues in English. Neither job pays a lot, but they're something to do, right? And they sound like fun. I just hope I'm good at both, especially the tutoring.

Fall Fashion Challenge: Grey

The last day of the Fall Fashion Challenge gives me the chance to show off one of my recent purchases - my grey coat! The coat I wore all of last winter fell apart and I was lucky to find this one after just a few days of searching.

What do you think? I love the colour, the furry peter pan collar and the oh so perfect length. Plus it is 80% wool so it is super warm. I am in coat heaven! :D
