Shooooooez

So I went to the mall today to go have another look at my most coveted items - the skirt and the shoes. Seriously guys, I just went to the stores, looked at them and left, although I may have touched them longingly once or twice. Or not. I'm not disclosing anything.

I've been really struggling about which one to get, since I cannot afford a €70 skirt and €100 shoes at once, and I've been bugging all of you too, right? Sorry! Anyhow, I randomly walked into Pimkie today and saw some super cheap brown oxfords. Which I randomly decided to try on. Which fit! So now you get a million pictures of them.

So they aren't the rich brown colour of the original oxfords. Nor are they as buttery soft. But they really do fit well and are pretty comfortable. Plus, as evidenced by the pictures, they do look pretty good on right? :) So I've decided to get these instead of the super expensive ones. Well, for now. This way, I can try out the trend at a low price and then if I feel like I wear them enough, I can spring for the €100 ones without feeling guilty. Plus, I can get both the things I wanted for my birthday - leather skirt and oxfords. Yay! :D

What do you guys think of these shoes? Do you wear oxfords?

I am not trendy enough for these at all! ._. They look super cute on you, though, and good job on the find! I'm rooting for the leather skirt, btw ;)

Larie: Thanks :-) and I really love that skirt too :-D it's such a classic item to own!

VERY cute! I love the look of oxfords, and I'm trying to get more. I have wide feet, though, so it's been a bit of a struggle to avoid the super expensive ones.

The oxfords are super cute. I would totally wear them! Good idea to try out the trend at a lower price first. Very smart!

Erin: I hear you on that! The front of my feet is super broad and one foot is half a size smaller than the other :-P that's why I was stunned to find a cheap pair that fits!

Yola: Thanks :-)

two birds: Thanks :-D my good idea has come from my lack of funds, so yay for not being rich! :-P

I think those are a great find! I have a similar pair of brown oxfords, and I love them! They're surprisingly versatile!

Shea: Cool! I will go check your blog out for inspiration :-D

Congrats on finding a pair of oxfords that you can give for a spin! I think it's always great to try something trendy at a cheaper price before deciding if it is classic enough to hold up in your wardrobe. Plus you can always get insoles to add to shoes to make them more comfy.

Megan Mae: Yup! Wouldn't want to make a super expensive mistake :-P

Very, very cute, and hooray for being able to get both things for your birthday! Maybe I'm just caught up in the trend, but I love the idea of Oxfords. Lace-up shoes that don't look like you've just come from the gym? Yes, please!

These shoes look really nice, I'm rooting for the leather skirt too. Good luck at finding a cheaper version of that too!

Ki said...

Rachel: Agreed! Especially since Converse shoes make me look like I have clown feet!

Loren: Thanks! And wow, that would be awesome! *fingers crossed*

I love the oxfords. I don't have oxford shoes but I wish I did. And your pants are so colorful! I love it :)

Ki said...

Joyce: Thanks :) I'm sure you can find an inexpensive pair! And they're the same old red pants, but they look so orange-y and cool in these photos! :D

I don't know if I own oxfords. I'd have to google. Are they shoes with the laces? If so, I don't, but they are cute: I just haven't found a pair that make me go "oooh".

At first when I saw the photos I thought the shoes had pompoms on them. ;) Yup... I'm awake this morning!!

GenkiOriana: They're menswear inspired flat shoes with laces, although there are heeled versions available now as are laceless ones :D
Ha ha ha ha ha :P no it's the security thingy to prevent my broke self from running off with them ;)

I have wanted to get oxfords for a while now, but since I got into the whole beauty blogging thing, I haven't been paying much attention to my wardrobe. I have been looking like a drab recently, need to get out of the rut and and get me some fancy shoes like these :)

I LIKE em :)

Finding a similar pair of shoes is a good way to try a trend without putting down a bunch of cash first. I've changed my vote and think you should go with the skirt. IMO you don't need two items which look very similar.

Ki said...

Iris: Agreed! Getting the skirt now that I have these shoes :-D

I am seriously out of shape right now :( Studying for program courses full time and designation on the side...but next semester I do plan on getting back into shape - like, seriously!
I am going home soon, and most likely I will shop for tops I can wear with leggings, dresses that can go over tights...no pants or anything...so would love to show you what I get :)

This semester I didn't even have time to shop, can you imagine? the only time I got my butt to the mall was when Sephora had their VIB sale because the blog got bombarded with PR samples and had to bring some personality back to it.
Anyways, nightmare is over in about two weeks :D
